Bagua
Zhang
is a comprehensive and systematic martial art. It comprises
soft and circular movements along with quick and linear
attacks.
•
The
basic conditioning of the system is achieved through the
Ten Heavenly Stem (Tien Gan) exercises.
•
The
skeleton is developed to achieve a solid body and frame
through the 8 turning palms.
•
The
8 changing palms add the dimensions of softness, twisting
and deeply stretch the limbs to develop flexibility.
•
Fierce
attacking movements and strategies are implemented through
the 64 palm strikes which comprise striking, wrestling,
grasping and extensive use of elbows and kicks.
•
Fighting techniques and strategies are refined through every
form. These include how to use correct power, escape from
attacks and simultaneously attack and defend.
